Nick Warren needs no introduction. A true pioneer of the UK and global dance scene, he has been an established DJ and producer for over 20 years. Nick was the original tour dj for Massive Attack and is also a member of the UK band Way Out West with Jody Wisternoff, who also hosts a show here on friskyRadio called Intensified. Nick also has several GU compilations under his belt and regularly tours throughout the world.

2,325,291 - Thats the number of people (thats YOU!) that tuned into the friskyRadio streams in September 2009. Thats 2 million, 325 thousand and 291 people. As much as some cities!

While the number is staggering and we are humbled that so many of you love the music and that our DJs play each and every day for you, we’re not stopping any time soon. Behind the scenes are have been hard at work on the next-generation friskyRadio website. The website redesign project has been in flight since at least summer 2007, when the idea first came into our minds… However, things, other things and most of all our “real lives” got in the way. Remember friskyRadio still continues to be a “side project” and this is not something that we do full-time unlike so many other radio stations in this space. However, we feel the time has come and it is now to take friskyRadio to the next level.

So cheers to all 2,325,291 of you for coming to this little freaky party we call friskyRadio. The best is yet to come… Until then - stay frisky!

Great news for our fans. We have not one but two awesome mixes by none other than Nick Warren debuting on friskyRadio this week! First, on Thursday tune in for a progressive house mix starting at 01PM PST.

Then, on Sunday check out a brand new chillout and ambient mix by Nick Warren played during the weekly chill0ut Sundays. This is the first of its kind by Nick Waren made for radio air play. We’re looking forward to hearing what you have to say about these two mixes!

friskyRadio continues to grow leaps and bounds and I couldn’t more happier for our artists and fans! In addition to already being the Number 1 most listened to station for the genre ‘Progressive House’ [Com Score, March 2009] on the web, friskyRadio broke into the Top 50 all-time stations based on TTSL on the SHOUTcast network of radio stations. Thats Top 50 out of more than 30,000 stations!
