By now Im sure you are aware that the next stop in the ‘friskyRadio Loves…’ world tour show’s next destination is Cyprus. friskyRadio Loves Cyprus is this Saturday starting at 06AM [1500 Cyprus Local Time] and features Cyprus’ best and brightest rising stars in the Progressive House scene including Ogi Gee Cash & Synchronized, Smokin’ Circles, Gomez and many others.

‘friskyRadio Loves…’ shows, in case you are unaware, is a series that we have been running since December 2005. Its simple: we pick a region or country in the world and showcase some the top and upcoming DJs and artists from that region. That way we get a flavour of the region’s unique underground sound and get a glimpse into their culture like no other show can.

So, now that we have visited a total of 15 countries I’d like to find out from you guys where we should go next. Here’s a list of countries we have already visited:
Argentina
Finland
Hungary
Tunisia.
Russia
Turkey
Greece
Japan
Canada
Lebanon
France
The Baltic States
Holland
Germany
Poland
Bulgaria

Phew. Thats a whole lotta countries. We are already working on the United Kingdom next - and it is scheduled for sometime in June. So besides the UK, where would like to go next?

Its basically a web player that will play the friskyRadio stream from any website. Think YouTube, but for friskyRadio. Er, minus all those annoying dog-on-skateboard videos. The new friskyRecords site is now live

By now Im sure you all have already noticed that the brand-spanking new friskyRecords site is live! Its the result of months of hard work to bring you what we feel is a pretty neat site with all the relevant information about our releases and other stuff. You can find out more information about our debut release, Destinations mixed CD and digital EP by Pole Folder, and find links to buy the release there.

The site is the first stage in a complete top-to-bottom overhaul of the friskyRadio site(s) and we will be making improvements to the site in the coming weeks and months. We will also be adding some really kick-ass features and additions to the friskyRadio site so stay tuned!

Yes folks friskyRadio now has a blog. Why you ask? Well, frankly we get lonely and instead of talking to ourselves and to walls like we usually do, we thought we might channel all that energy and talk to… you know, YOU instead.

This blog will offer insight into upcoming projects and shows, special events and general chit chat about why we do what we do and what you can expect in the coming days and weeks ahead.

In addition to me, this blog will be updated by two other members that are part of the friskyRadio team. Papi, who is our resident Design Ninja and responsible for most of the website updates; and Ira, who is the Label Manager for the friskyRecords Music Label.

friskyRadio has come a long way since it started as a simple stream back in 2001. In the coming days and months ahead we will be launching a totally new and game-changing website, the friskyRecords label and loads more events in your favourite cities around the world. So keep checking back for updates. We hope to update this blog quite regularly. Thank you for all the support.
