With over a decade of experience behind the decks, Nadja Lind truly knows how to connect with her listeners. She has brought her energy and passion to audiences all around the world, including Australia, India, South Africa, and the US, with appearances at the widely known Fabric and Kazantip Festival. Her recent shows feature live performances with production partner Helmut Ebritsch, as well as selections from their large catalog of original tracks and remixes.

Not only are Nadja and Helmut continually producing and performing under the moniker Klartraum, they also run the growing imprint Lucidflow, an exceptional Berlin based label with an impressive list of producers and remixers that include Silicone Soul and Hernan Cattaneo. 2013 is aiming to be the biggest year yet for Lucidflow, including the launching of their show on friskyRadio. Featuring the best of original productions and meticulously selected tracks, Lucidflow is going to be a unique, genre defying show that represents the best of what the music has to offer.

This is a v1 release and its only been tested on a couple of devices so there are likely gonna be bugs and issues with the app. There’s only so much we can do with such a small and nimble (but awesome) dev team! Rest assured we will keep a close look at the bug reports and squish them as quickly as possible.

As excited as we are with this announcement today, we’re even more chuffed about the upcoming version 2 of the app in the summer. Version 2 of our iOS and Android apps will be a complete top-to-bottom overhaul with a completely new UI, all-new features like on-demand streams, subscription access and much, much more!

Now this popular and groundbreaking series is returning on Saturday April 27th with FRISKY Loves Holland. Known for its beautiful scenery and laid back lifestyle, complete with tulips, canals, and windmills, Holland is home to many top DJs who each bring something special to the tables. Some are DJs you’ve been listening to on friskyRadio for years, while others are going to be brand new discoveries, but all will be representing the true essence of Holland through their collective sound. Get ready by listening to the first FRISKY Loves Holland, and be sure to tune in this Saturday to hear the latest music from the greatest DJs of Holland.

At only 24 years old, Jeremy Olander has already earned a reputation for consistent quality and intelligent selection in both his productions and live DJ sets. He considers himself a true artist and continuous student of the music, always adapting and flowing with the emotion of the moment. His music selection is eclectic, with melody and drive always at the forefront.

His exceptional work grabbed the attention of the popular DJ/Producer Eric Prydz, who signed him to a three release deal, and asked Jeremy to accompany him on tour. Some of his major shows include performances at the Amnesia Club in Ibiza, the Pryda & Friends stage at Creamfields, Tel Aviv’s The Cat & Dog, and The Palladium in LA. He has played alongside some of the biggest DJs in the industry including Adam Beyer, Sasha, John Digweed, and Paolo Mojo.

His releases “Riots”/”Evade”/”Chronic and “Fairfax/Rypamont” were both top sellers for the Pryda Friends label in 2011, getting major plays on John Digweed’s and Pete Tong’s popular radio shows. Olander was also featured on BBC Radio 1’s “15 Minutes of Fame” segment, and was Frisky’s Artist of the Week in December 2012 (which held the #1 spot on our charts for 2 straight weeks!). Jeremy will now be launching his own show on Frisky: Vivrant Radio. Featuring his own productions and remixes, as well as carefully selected driving and melodic tracks, Vivrant Radio will be an extraordinary experience you won’t want to miss.

In anticipation of this exciting launch, we caught up with Jeremy Olander to ask a few questions:

FRISKY: Was there a definitive moment when you knew music was what you wanted to do with your life?
Jeremy Olander: I don’t think there was a definitive moment per se. It was more of a gradual process for me. For every small step I took back in the early days I felt more comfortable and certain that music was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

FRISKY: Are there any DJs or Producers who you feel most inspired by?
Jeremy: It’s pretty much the usual suspects man. Sasha, Eric Prydz, Adam Beyer, Henry Saiz, Guy J and of course John Digweed as far as both production and DJing is concerned. I think all of those guys are very unique in what they do and have the courage to do what they believe in.

FRISKY: If you could only listen to one record for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Jeremy: That’s easy. Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal. I keep coming back to it.

FRISKY: Are you currently working on any new projects?
Jeremy: Other than the releases I already have scheduled this year I’m working on new Dhillon material, which is my alias that I do darker techno stuff under. I’m also busy working on a follow-up record to ‘Let Me Feel’ that I hope to put out later this year.

FRISKY: What has been the most memorable moment of your career so far?
Jeremy: Honestly, the whole journey has been amazing so far but a couple things that come to mind are playing the Purim Street Festival in Tel Aviv for tens of thousands of people. I really love Tel Aviv and the people there and it’s one of the best places I’ve had the pleasure to play. Also, ‘Let Me Feel’ making the overall Beatport Top 10 was a big moment for me too.

FRISKY: Which venues are next on your “must play” list?
Jeremy: I’m super excited to go to Canada and Montreal to play a club over there called Circus. Heard really great things about that place and it’s been on my “must play” list for a while.

FRISKY: If your music was an animal, what would it be?
Jeremy: Haha I don’t know. Maybe a sloth. I like sloths.

FRISKY: Describe the Vivrant Radio show in two words:
Jeremy: Great fun!

Since he was young, Jonatan Cancino has been fascinated by electronic music. Growing up in Buenos Aires, he was exposed to the artists Daft Punk, Planet Funk, and Cicada, which drew him into their world. At 18 he decided to attend Escuala Sonica so he could learn how to create and play his own music. Inspired by such DJs and producers as Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Guy J, Marcelo Vasami, and Sound Process, he began to find his own sound, with a focus on Progressive House and Techno vibes to drive his sets.

Jonatan has played on radio stations around the world, including guest mixes on Frisky Radio’s popular shows Existence, Cloud Nine Mix Sessions, Labyrinth, and more. He was also featured as Artist of the Week last December and on Feelin’ FRISKY this January. Now, with his new show Apocalypsis, Jonatan will have his own platform to share his unique combination of harmonious dark grooves and highly polished sound.

- Listen to any DJ set, on-demand, whenever you like… FOR FREE. Registered members get a generous number of free streams a month, with our premium subscribers getting unlimited streams. And coming soon: an unlimited streaming-only subscription tier for our fans that only want to stream their music from the cloud, with no hassle of having to download tons of files.

Some new features, at a glance
While the new FRISKY has a ton of new features, I’d like to highlight some below:
- The new home page is a snapshot connecting you to the music you love in ways never before, with featured show area that highlights some sets we think you should check out. The Show Schedule lists the day’s shows, with easy access different days’ schedule.
- Latest Mixes lists is an easy way to catch up with the very latest dj sets just aired on the radio. Just chose which mix want to listen to and press play!
- Trending Mixes section calculates what mixes are most popular right now based on many different factors.
- Timezones. One of our most-requested feature ever is the ability to display show times in your timezone. You can now view show times in your own time zone! You can change your timezone in settings.
- Charts. A weekly Top 10 chart of the top shows of the previous week.

A better way to search
When you have access to millions of hours of music, searching for what you’re looking for can be a challenge. With our new search, you can search for music by show name, DJ/artist name and date. Want to know what was played on a particular date? Just search for it by date. Or, for a list of all shows played in a particular month, you can search by month.

In the coming months we will be spending significant focus on discovery: our mission is to connect you to the music you love now, and introduce you to your future favorite DJs and shows!

New chill channel
- Previously available only on our award-winning iPhone app, you can now tune into the CHILL stream for the best in ambient, lounge, movie scores and downbeat. Having a dedicated CHILL channel will open up for more programming on sundays, which was previously held by Chillout Sundays, our weekly chillout show.

Unison

Konstantin Alt, better known as LoQuai, showcases his talent and dedication for the music through his exceptional productions and careful music selections. Growing up in Germany, Konstantin started really diving into the music in 1998 when he bought his first electronic instruments. His combination of psychedelic, trance, breaks, and drum & bass elements combined to create true a progressive sound. Meanwhile, his time spent at the SAE School in Frankfurk studying audio production gave him the tools he needed to take his production to the next level. Since his first release with Ultimate House Records in 2005, he has released original tracks and remixes on over 50 labels, with many of the tracks released under Mystique Music.

After several busy years deep in creating new music, LoQuai will now be launching the show “Unison” on Frisky Radio. With his experience combining multiple elements to become one creative masterpiece, LoQuai’s Unison will truly live up to its name. The best music, carefully and passionately entwined to create one amazing experience.

Herc Kass is a passionate believer in the music. With over two decades of experience exploring and expanding with the music, he has become a well respected and highly dedicated progressive producer and DJ. He endlessly searches for new sounds, while continually fine tuning his ear for quality in the music. Herc’s technical ability and careful selections have won over lovers of the progressive genre around the world, with his live and radio DJ sets always taking listeners on an amazing emotional and physical journey.

His productions with Adam and Jayson Holden, under the moniker Chunky Fuckers, have become successful releases for Baroque, Movement, Polytechnic, Underground City Music, and Mesmeric Records. He has done guest mixes for several popular Frisky Radio shows, including Ingo Vogelmann’s Lightworks and Marc Pole’s Mind The Gap. He also made an appearance on Frisky Loves Australia, and was featured as Artist of the Week (visit Frisky.fm to listen to this set!). Now he will be showcasing all the reasons why he has become a favorite DJ for so many, with the release of his own show: PROG:STEADY. Adrian Ravelo’s “Cloud Nine Mix Sessions” has been a popular and highly respected show on Frisky for over 4 years, reaching out to over 30,000 people a month, and featuring many all-star guest DJs. While running the show, Adrian was also touring the world, bringing his unique blend of soulful, groovy house music to the dance floor. Now he is drawing from these experiences to bring you the best from all aspects of the industry, with the all-new SoundPark.

SoundPark will be a unique stage for all members of the underground dance music industry to bring their collective influence to a united platform. Consisting of exclusive sets, interviews, reviews, photos, and more, SoundPark will be the place to be to get the latest information and hear the greatest new music.
